BOX SET is a series of Perspex boxes in which singular female characters are boxed up and ready for dispatch – each with her allocated mental illness, back story and reasoning.

Each box is a dancing work of art, sculpted, designed and filled with memorabilia. Audience rove and decide which boxed woman is of relevance to them, which ones they would “collect” to understand their own patterns of behaviour, body, and movement; to form a self-reflective narrative.

Gradually the women begin to interact – somehow – from their boxes… how? How do they communicate physically? Send each other messages? How do they find a common vocabulary and solace despite their inflicted separation?

Stay tuned for more!
